Message from the President

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your warm understanding and generous support of "Office Eisvogel’s" activities.

Our mission is to enrich people’s lives through music and handmade creations. Guided by this philosophy, we have dedicated ourselves to nurturing and managing artists, supporting performance activities, producing music, and fostering creativity through our handmade brand Nichi’s Crochet Room. At the heart of our journey lies a balance between international artistic exchange and local cultural engagement. Serving as a bridge between Austria—the world’s capital of music—and Japan, we have created numerous opportunities for artist collaboration and performance. For young Japanese musicians, experiencing Austria’s rich musical traditions provides an invaluable foundation, while Austrian audiences and artists, in turn, are inspired by Japan’s sensitivity and fresh artistic perspectives. We firmly believe that such exchanges elevate the arts on both sides and will remain a lasting cultural legacy for the future. At the same time, we remain deeply committed to our local communities. By organizing　concerts that welcome even those unfamiliar with classical music, and by actively engaging in cultural activities within the region, we strive to bring moments of warmth and inspiration to people’s daily lives. Through handmade creations as well, we hope to deliver small joys and a sense of comfort to everyday living. Art has the power to transcend borders while also enriching the lives of individuals and communities. "Office Eisvogel" will continue to walk this dual path—as a hub for international artistic exchange and as a cultural presence rooted in the local community. We are devoted to supporting the next generation of artists while sharing the beauty of music and handmade art with a wider audience. We sincerely ask for your continued support and encouragement as we carry this mission forward.

1955年ハンブルグ生まれ。ザルツブルグ・モーツァルテウム音楽大学にてピアノ をライグラフに、指揮をヴィムベルガーに師事、ピアノ科と指揮科両方を卒業。1983-1989年ザルツブルグ音楽祭にてカラヤンのアシスタントを務める。1985年国際ベートーヴェン・コンクール(ウィーン)第3位。1990年よりウィーン音楽大学教授を勤める。バロックから現代曲まで全てのジャンルに精通するが、特にベートーヴェンは彼にとって重要であり、録音はピアノソナタ全32曲、ピアノ協奏曲全5曲、ヴァイオリンソナタ、チェロソナタに渡る。とりわけ、1994年ウィーン楽友教会でのベー トーヴェン・ピアノソナタ32曲全曲チクルスに絶賛を受ける。 1996年ベートーヴェン協会USAよりベートーヴェンのピアノソナタ全32曲の演奏に対し「グレート・アー ティスト賞」、中国のシェンヤン音楽院より特別賞を受賞。ベートーヴェンピアノソナタ、大フーガ、ワーグナーピアノ曲全集の録音も評価が高い。ヨーロッパ各国のみならずアメリカ、日本、中国、台湾各地、ウィーン・プライナー音楽院、リチャード・ワーグナー音楽院にも教授として招待され、精力的にマスタークラスや演奏解釈のワークショップも行っている。1999年にVIPアカデミーを創設し、若手ピアニストの育成に勤める傍ら、2009年よりロザリオマルシアーノ国際コンクールを主催、審査員長を務める。ウィーン在住。

Born in Hamburg in 1955, he studied piano with Lygraf and conducting with Wimberger at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, graduating in both disciplines.From 1983 to 1989 he served as assistant to Herbert von Karajan at the Salzburg Festival. In 1985 he won Third Prize at the International Beethoven Competition in Vienna, and since 1990 he has been a professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.While his repertoire ranges from the Baroque to contemporary music, Beethoven has held a particularly central place in his artistic life. His recordings encompass the complete 32 piano sonatas, the five piano concertos, as well as the violin and cello sonatas. Especially notable was his acclaimed 1994 cycle of all 32 piano sonatas at the Vienna Musikverein. In 1996 he received the Great Artist Award from the Beethoven Society of America for his performances of the complete Beethoven piano sonatas, as well as a Special Prize from the Shenyang Conservatory of Music in China. His recordings of the Beethoven piano sonatas, the Große Fuge, and the complete piano works of Wagner have been highly praised. He has been invited to give masterclasses and interpretation workshops throughout Europe, the United States, Japan, China, and Taiwan, and has also taught at the Vienna Prayner Conservatory and the Richard Wagner Conservatory. In 1999 he founded the VIP Academy to nurture young pianists, and since 2009 he has served as founder and chairman of the jury of the Rosario Marciano International Piano Competition. He currently resides in Vienna.

<Piano Maasa Iwashita>

Born in Uto City, Kumamoto Prefecture, Maasa Iwashita completed a Master’s degree at Tokyo University of the Arts. She was selected as a 5th-term fellow of the Suntory Hall Chamber Music Academy. Currently, she serves as an accompanist for the Conducting Course at Tokyo College of Music and as pianist for the Musashino Choir. Actively engaged in bringing classical music to audiences beyond traditional concert halls, she works as a project artist for the certified NPO Acchi Cocchi (“Everyone’s Art School – Children’s Hospice Art Program”), is a registered performer with One Million People’s Classical Live, and serves as a Cultural and Arts Advisor for Omihachiman City.

<Cello Takaya Anada>

Through painting, writing, and cello performance, [Name] explores free and creative expression. After graduating from Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, she has been active nationwide in a wide range of settings, including recordings, classical and improvised music, as well as solo, chamber, ensemble, and theater productions. She is a member of the units spiRit and Kasumi String Lab, and since 2023 has been performing internationally with the Tokyo Sinfonia, including concerts in Sri Lanka. She is also a member of the Itabashi Performers’ Association and a trainer for the Fillmore Ensemble. In addition to music, she holds annual solo art exhibitions, creates and publishes risograph picture books, and roasts and sells Zampia Coffee beans.
